Little Valley Falls to Rain; $5,000 to win SLM Next Up on September 6th
The August 24th program at Little Valley Speedway was washed out when a short rain compromised an already saturated track, making it problematical that the track could be readied before approaching rain and fog visited the speedway. As a result, the show was canceled and will not be re-scheduled.
However, the make-up street stock race, postponed from July 12th and re-scheduled for August 24th will be added to the next program on Saturday, September 6th. The mini stocks will also compete on the card, a makeup for their July 3rd postponement due to fog.
The September 6th show highlights the $5,000 to win Coca Cola Classic for Super Late Models ($300 to start), the Super Stocks, paying $1,000 to the winner, and the championship race for the NY/PA E-Mod Challenge Series, which offers a hefty $1,000 first place check as well. The street stocks will run their scheduled race, as well as the makeup from July 12th. It will also be FOAR Score Fan Club Night.
Fans with rainchecks for August 24th can use them at either the September 6th event or the final event of the season on Saturday, September 20th, when the T3 All Star 358 Modifieds will run a double feature. The Super Lates, the BRP Can Am Late Models, and the Street Stocks complete the September 20th card.
Gates open on September 6th at 3:00, with racing at 6:30. Adult admission is $16, with those under twelve admitted free. Little Valley Speedway is located on the Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds on Rt. 353 in Little Valley, NY, just north of the Salamanca exit of I-86 and just eight miles from Ellicottville.
