With all of the rainouts throughout the season the promoters put on a special Sunday night event at Deer Creek Speedway. A huge car count on Saturday provided an excellent field of 104 cars for Sunday nights racing. An average crowd showed up to see all of the racing action on this last night of racing before the specials begin at the speedway.
The Dirt Doctor WISSOTA Midwest Modfiieds pulled onto the track with Bobby Swanson getting the early lead. Bob Bunne ran in second while Greg Pfeifer Jr and AJ Wiste raced side by side for third early. With three completed the field was still racing three wide through the pack with Albert Wytaske working under Pfeifer Jr. for the fourth position as the set his sights on Wiste in third. Up front Bunne was putting heavy pressure on Swanson for the lead. A caution with twelve to go saw Swanson continue to lead with Wytaske, and Wiste now side by side for second. The pack was three and four wide behind them as the racing heated up. Ten to go and Wytaske moved into second and pulled alongside of the leader. Another restart and Dan Wheeler made his presence known as he joined the race up front, the pack came three wide for the lead out of turn four and into turn one. The two one cars of Wytaske and Wheeler raced side by side until seven to go when they touched sending Wytaske to the rear. Wheeler pulled away on the restart with Wiste and Brandon Davis racing side by side for third. Davis took the position as the field raced to the checkers with Wheeler taking the win, Davis second and Wiste Third.
Sam Averbeck held the early lead in the Tims Repair and Towing WISSOTA Street Stock feature with Ryan Goergen and Jesse Stahl racing for second. Stahl moved alongside of Averbeck with two complete as they raced side by side for the lead. Averbeck held onto the lead while Goergen moved under Stahl with four completed to take over second. A caution with five completed saw Danny Hanson pull alongside of Averbeck. With eleven to go Dan Bork moved into third as Hanson finally moved slightly ahead of Averbeck. The field held that way to the checkers with Bork challenging Averbeck the rest of the way.
Dale Ames led early in the US Army WISSOTA Super Stock division with Adam Stockhausen in a close second. Stockhausen took the lead heading out of four with Kurt Kromschroeder working under Ames for second. With sixteen to go Wyatt Wolfe Jr. moved into third and on the next lap took over second and moved up to the rear bumper of Stockhausen. A restart with eleven to go gave Wolfe Jr. his chance as he pulled alongside for the lead. The two raced side by side each with a slight advantage on different parts of the track until four to go when Wolfe Jr. finally gained control of the race. Wolfe Jr. held on for the win with Stockhausen in second. Chris Klinger had a strong run through the field after starting eleventh and finished third.
Nineteen Valley Featherlite WISSOTA Late Models showed up to do battle on this Sunday night with Jake Redetzke jumping out to the early lead. Dennis Hillson ran in second with Joe Ludemann looking for a low line on the speedway in third. Redetzke slowly pulled away from the field early on while Ludemann looked to get past Hillson. With sixteen to go Ludemann moved into second while Nick Herrick moved past Hillson for third. With ten to go Ludemann had gained back up to Redetzke for the lead. Redetzke had the car in the preferred groove by this time and Ludemann ran a great bottom line but was unable to make it alongside. Redetzke came home with the win, Ludemann in second and Herrick third.
Jay Ihrke led the EZ Fabricating USRA Modified feature to the line. Todd Scharkey was in second early while Kelly Shryock quickly moved into third. Shryock took second on lap two while some fierce two and three wide battles raged on through the field. Twenty to go and Irhke and Sryock were side by side for the lead. Shryock took the spot. Ihrke held onto second with Nate Wasmund close in third. A restart with eleven to go saw Shryock lead, Ihrke in second and Les Duellman, Jason Cummins and Layne Meyer three wide for fifth. Wasmund was working on moving past Ihrke as another caution flew with nine to go. Cummins charged high into one on the restart and moved past Wasmund for third. Scharkey retook the fourth spot from Wasmund as the race wound down. Another caution with three to go set up the g/w/c dash. Shryock took the win with Cummins moving past Ihrke for second. Scharkey finished fourth ahead of Neil Eckhart who worked up from the fifteenth starting position.
