North Norwich Motors and Trailer Sales to Give Bonus to New Yorker 200 Heat Winners
VERNON , NY- An added incentive has been added to the 2008 edition of Utica-Rome Speedway’s New Yorker 200 because as they did in the Victoria 200 on May 11, North Norwich Motors & Trailer Sales will present the 358-Modified heat winners of the upcoming New Yorker 200 with $100 cash. In May, eight drivers were able to collect the heat race bonus.
The New Yorker 200 Weekend kicks off on Friday September 12 with Sportsman, SUNY Canton Street Stocks, and the World Products Empire State Series for the IMCA Modifieds. The Sportsman division will race for an impressive $2,200 to win in a 50 lap affair. Making its final stop of the season is the SUNY Canton Street Stock Series which will pay the winner a cool $1,000.
On Saturday September 13, it will once again be time for the $10,000 to win New Yorker 200 for the 358-Modifieds. Many of the top 358-Modified drivers in the region will be on hand to take their shot at the top prize. Like last year, the New Yorker will pay $1,000 to start. Also in action will be the Pro Stocks, who will compete during the halfway point of the 200 lap 358-Modified feature for a $1,200 payday. Gates will open at 11 a.m. with racing scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
