Sarver, PA (September 1, 2008) With the Fab Four Racing portion of the 40th Anniversary Season in the books, we wanted to send out a special thank you and recognize all the drivers who make Lernerville Speedway’s Fab Four Racing program the best weekly show in America! During 17 amazing weeks of Fab Four Racing 218 drivers competed in our four division show. 56 Sprints, 68 Late Models, 42 Modifieds and 52 Street Stocks took to the track this season.
Everyone knows the big names like Ed Lynch Jr., Kevin Schaeffer, Rod George, Bob Felmlee, Alex Ferree, Lynn Geisler, John Flinner, Jared Miley, Brian Swartzlander, Kevin Bolland, Dave Murdick, Del Rougeux Jr., Bob Egley, Jason Fosnaught, Wayne Carbo and Joe Kelley. Surely you are getting to know some of our young guns and newcomers like Carl Bowser, Danny Holtgraver, Andy McKisson, Gregg Satterlee, John Mollick, Michael Norris, Jeremiah Shingledecker, JR McGinley, Phil Evans Jr., Jim Fosnaught, Bryan Shaffer and Ryan Moyer and we can’t forget the cagey veterans like Scott Priester, Brent Matus, Ralph Spithaler, Gary Lyle, Mike Blose, Chuck Kennedy, Tom Winkle, Carl Murdick, Tim Doran, Pat Hanley, Paul Schreckengost and Bob Lipinski.
But you may not know some of our weekly competitors that some fans unfairly label as field fillers or low buck drivers. They may not have the best equipment or high dollar sponsors, but these drivers are the glue that holds the program together. They don’t take the track expecting to race for the win, they do it for the pure love of the sport and the pride they take in being part of Fab Four Racing on a weekly basis. You won’t see their pictures in Sheetz Victory Lane and seldom do they make the press release which recognizes the top ten finishers in each division.
So we want to recognize them here and let them know that they deserve as much credit for our continued success as those who do repeatedly roll into Sheetz Victory Lane and finish in the top ten.
In the Commercial Truck & Trailer Sprints, drivers like Gary Rankin, Charlie Holben, Bill Kiley, Sheila Rankin, Lindsay Enscoe, Paul Kish, Joe Butera, Bud Watt, Brian Steinman and Brent Ellenberger are there almost every Friday Night!
The same is true in the Friedman’s Freshmarkets UMP DIRTcar Super Late Models with drivers like Chuck Sarver, Todd Bachman, Dane Laraway, Tony Burke, Herman Bertolini, Nick Reges, Dan Swartzlander and Ray Kroll.
Ditto in the Ferrante Motor Cars DIRTcar Modifieds with drivers Mike Turner, Erik Martin, Steve Feder, Doug Fleeger, Jeremy Paup, Dave Reges, Mike Miller and Brian Sadler.
In the ultra-competitive Advance Auto Parts UMP DIRTcar Street Stocks its guys like Dave Baker, Terry Young, Eric Piotrowski, Randy Hanovick, Paul Petrovic, Matthew Keith, Stan Riggle, Mike Gilliland, Brett McDonald, Kevin Haas and Joseph Heinl.
These guys and gals are what the sport is all about and we truly appreciate their continued support of this most expensive and time consuming sport/hobby/addiction/passion that we all share!
