It's an Action Packed "September to Remember" at Sharon Speedway

Hartford, OH September 3, 2008 "Fantastic Five" racing action may have concluded for 2008 but race fans will want to keep Sharon Speedway on their racing schedule as three new and innovative specials are going to make September a month to remember at the Hartford, OH oval.

Saturday, September 6th will showcase the Tom's Sewer and Drain Service E-Mods, the Tight-Seal Glass Block Pure Stocks and the Limited Sprints. The three divisions will headline the racing card as they compete in an action packed evening of wheel to wheel racing action.

This Saturday's racing card also features a special appearance by "the Mudder Trucks." This is your opportunity to see the trucks that climb rocks and kick up mud on Friday nights tackle a new venue, the Sharon Speedway. "The four-wheel drive pickup events are very popular in this area," stated speedway owner Dave Blaney, "the fans and competitors who attend these events are already interested in a different aspect of motorsports and the "Mudder Truck" event will not only provide them with the opportunity to compete at the speedway, it will also allow them to see three of our weekly divisions in competition. We are hoping that they will become oval track race fans and join us at Sharon Speedway in the future."
In addition to an evening of exciting racing action the Northeast Ohio Dukes will also be in attendance with their Dukes of Hazard cars. See if the Hazard County Sheriff's Plymouth Fury can capture the Duke Boys and the General Lee!!

Admission for this Saturday's "Mudder Truck Spectacular" is just $7.00. Pit Gates will open at 3:00PM with the General Admission Grandstand Gates opening at 4:00PM. Racing action will begin promptly at 6:00PM.

Saturday, September 13th PMTRA/Quercio presents the "Outlaw Monster Truck Spectacular." See the monster trucks such as "Prowler" and "Predator" and others take to the Sharon Speedway to crush everything in sight. It will certainly be an evening of "Monster Truck Mayhem"!!

Race fans will be treated to a Pit Party prior to the start of the evening's action. Fans of all ages will get to see the Monster Trucks and Drivers "Up Close and In Person." Race fans will also get to ride in the Monster Trucks. In addition the first 500 children in attendance will receive a Free Toy Monster Truck.

Sharon Speedway will then close out the 2008 racing season with the inaugural running of the Apple Festival Nationals on Saturday, September 20th and Sunday, September 21st. The two-day program will feature the ASCS 360 Sprint Series, the Hoosier Race Tires/BRP Modified Tour '08 and the Tight-Seal Glass Block Pure Stocks. Scott Bonnell, Bryan Howland, Kyle Moffit, Tim Hogue and Trevor Lewis are just a few of the ASCS Series regulars who are expected to be in competition. In addition the ground pounding Big Block Modifieds will tackle the Sharon Speedway for "Bragging Rights" in the 40-lap Russ King Memorial. The Tight-Seal Glass Block Pure Stocks will round out the card.

Lap sponsorships are currently available for each of the three feature events that will be held on Sunday, September 21st. The cost of a lap is just $10.00 so race teams, car owners, marketing partners and race fans are encouraged to participate in what is possibly the most cost effective marketing opportunity of 2008!!

In addition to the racing action fans will be treated to free entertainment following Saturday's racing action. The Sharon Speedway concessions will be open during the band's performance and will also be serving breakfast on Sunday morning. Adult General Admission for the Apple Festival Nationals is $18.00, children nine through 13 are $12.00 and children under eight are free.
