HANNA’S RAINS SHUTTER BRIDGEPORT SPEEDWAY’S CAMERA AND AUTOGRAPH NIGHT
BRIDGEPORT, NJ (September 6, 2008) - With Tropical Storm Hanna’s rain
soaking the Garden State, Bridgeport Speedway management was forced to
cancel the race program plus the Camera and Autograph activity slated
for Saturday, September 6. With the cancellation, the July 19th makeup
Big Block Modified feature scheduled for September 6 will now take place
on Modified Championship night on September 20 joining the 30-lap
$3000-to-win double point Big Block Modified feature already on the
program.
“Starlit Saturday Night” racing will return on September 13 with a Kid’s
Money Scramble on General Floor night. Kids 12 and under will be divided
into age groups and will have the opportunity to scramble for money on
the frontstretch. On the 5/8 mile clay oval, Big Block Modifieds, 358
Sportsman, GM Sportsman, and Outlaw Stocks will be in action. Also, a
Smashmasters Demolition Derby will be contested. Grandstand Gates open
at 5:00 PM, Warm-Ups start at 6:15 PM and the first race begins at 7:00
PM. General Admission tickets are $16 for adults. Kids 12 and under are
free.
Bridgeport Speedway provides a safe and secure family atmosphere, free
parking, giveaways and fan participation games. Billed ‘The Fastest Dirt
Track in the East’, Bridgeport Speedway is a banked 5/8th mile dirt
oval, featuring a dirt 1/4 mile oval embedded in the center, and is
located in Southern New Jersey -- just minutes from Pennsylvania and
Delaware at exit 14 off of I-295.
