Cornwall Motor Speedway presented his annual Fireball Enduro

Cornwall, On – Sunday, September 7, 2008 – Martin Bélanger – Cornwall Motor Speedway hosted their annual Fireball Enduro. The WWE of racing! Over 250 cars registered for this afternoon`s show as the 4, 6 and 8 cylinders were in actions. A 100-lap race for the 8 cylinders, fifty laps for 4&6 cylinders and 50 laps for the ladies.

The ladies were first on the track for their feature event, a nice field of 34 cars took the initial green and 3 rollovers brought some red flags and when it was all done, Rachel Laframboise of Cornwall took the checker flag, a very entertaining race with some clean racing and several cars being able to finish the race.

The men’s 6 cylinders were next on the track with a 50-lap race, 80 cars took the start of that race. Many reds flew during the race for security reasons. Only 15 cars were able to finish the race. The #2 car Jeff Philips of Finch, Ontario ran a great race and was the winner of this race. The cars were everywhere on the track when the race finished.

A total of 105 cars were sent on the track for the 50-lap men’s 4-cylinders race. A lot of action in this race with a lot of accidents and just like the 6 cylinders not many cars finished the race. David Gravelle from Ottawa, Ontario was the winner of the race.

The afternoon finished with the 50-lap feature race for the 8-cylinders, 40 cars were on the starting grid. Many changes in the lead in the feature race with the accidents being a factor in the finish and when it was all done, Jim Peters was declared the winner.

Next week will be the last program of the season with a special 40-lap feature event for Sportsmans plus the last race of the street stock challenge for Semi-Pro; they will have a 25-lap feature. The rookies will also have a 25-lap finale. Along with all that action, a big demolition derby called the terminator will complete the schedule. Admission price will only be 10$ for general admission.
