THE JERSEY JET EYES RECORD GOING INTO NEW EGYPT SPEEDWAY SATURDAY NIGHT

JJ Grasso of Pedricktown, NJ has certainly lived up to his popular
nickname, "The Jersey Jet" and Saturday night he'll be returning to the
New Egypt Speedway with a chance to etch his name on a milestone.

Grasso, winning four of four Rislone URC Sprint Series events so far
this season will be looking at a perfect five for five should he find
victory lane once again at New Egypt on Saturday night. URC, now
sixty-one years only has only seen this accomplishment achieved twice
before. Back in 1977, Buck Buckley won five in five at the Flemington
Fair Speedway then ten years later in 1987, it was "Mr. URC" Glenn
Fitzcharles who was a five in five winner at the Bridgeport Speedway.
Grasso leads all drivers in the feature win department with five
victories, scoring four wins at New Egypt and one win at the Penn Can
Speedway this season.

The Grasso story of 2008 is quite unique. They started the season not
sure if they could make every race just due to a limited budget. By
purchasing used tires and often second hand parts, "The Jersey Jet" now
finds himself ranked second in the overall Rislone URC point chase,
sandwiched between to of URC's ace racers, point leader and six time
champion Curt Michael and third ranked driver and 2003 URC Champion
Dave Ely of West Lawn, PA.

Two point races still remain including New Egypt on Saturday night and
the Rolling Wheels Raceway on Saturday night, October 11. The season
final for the Rislone URC Sprint Series is set for Saturday night,
October 18 when URC will be part of the "features only" Grandview
Speedway 5-25's House of Thunder Halloween Party, this event is not a
point race.

The two remaining events will not offer enough points for Grasso to make
an attempt at winning the championship in 2008 as Curt Michael has a
commanding point lead. For Grasso, he'll be looking for every point he
can find to hold on to that second place ranking in the point chase.
Following Michael and Grasso in the point chase include Dave Ely, Chris
Coyle and Becca Anderson. For Grasso, a top five finish in the point
chase would great and the runner-up spot would offer story-book finish
to a great season.

A field of thirty URC sprint cars are expected to take part in the
racing event at the New Egypt Speedway on Saturday night.
