RAIN PERSISTS ON DAY 2 AS BIG DIAMOND IS FORCED TO CANCEL DIAMOND NATIONALS....By Chris Budihas
Forestville, PA September 28, 2008- Constant overnight and morning precipitation in the surrounding areas of Big Diamond Raceway has force BDR management to cancel Sunday's portion of the Diamond Nationals making the 2008 version a total washout. " What can I say, we were optimistic going into this weekend and even following Saturday's cancellation but the rain just won't move out of the area. My partners and I couldn't even see where today was going to become better as the day went on, we are very disappointed as the interest was running so high for this event." commented track partner Buddy Biever.
Plans will be made for a date the weekend of March 27-29, 2009 for the Coalcracker 50 for Sportsman, Roadrunners, and Big Block or 358 Modifieds.
The next and final event on the BDR schedule is the INEX Legends Car Dirt Nationals Weekend to be held at Big Diamond Raceway October 9-11 as well as the finale of the Nutty Buddy Enduro series.
