DONT-MISS-EVENT SLATED FOR NOVEMBER 15TH AT GEORGETOWN SPEEDWAY
GEORGETOWN, DE (September 30, 2008) - Since the James family promotion
of Georgetown Speedway began in July of 2008, the fan support for two
racing events has been stupendous and the drivers have been clamoring
for more racing at the fast 1/2 mile speedway in Southern Delaware.
After reviewing the busy fall racing schedule, the Georgetown Speedway
will once again wave the green flag in 2008 on Saturday, November 15th.
Just like the August 31st event, Big Block Modifieds and Super Late
Models will co-headline the racing activity with 25-lap features paying
$2500 to each winner and $150 to start the feature. Already, many top
Big Block Modified and Super Late Model drivers have penciled this
November race into their racing calendar.
Joining the action will be the GM Sportsman/Crate Modified cars and
Crate Late Models. Each of the Crate classes will compete in 20-lap
features paying $1000 to the victor and $75 to take the green flag.
Crate 2 cars can also compete with the GM Sportsman/Crate Modified
cars, but will be required to weigh 2450 lbs. Additional details and
rules for this event will be available on www.georgetownspeedway.com.
On November 15th, Pit Gates at Georgetown Speedway will open at 3:00 PM,
Grandstand Gates open at 4:00 PM, and the racing will begin at 6:30 PM
with warm-ups taking place at 5:30 PM. General admission tickets are
$20 with children 12 and under admitted for free. Admission to the pit
area is $30.
Georgetown Speedway is 1/2 mile dirt oval located on the northbound side
of U.S. Route 113, just 35 miles south of Dover, Delaware, a 45-minute
drive from Ocean City, and easily accessible from Washington DC,
Baltimore, and Philadelphia.
