Ocean Speedway hosts Oct. 3-4 Western Region Nationals
WATSONVILLE, Calif. (Oct. 1) – Two features for IMCA Modifieds
headline Ocean Speedway’s Western Region Nationals on Friday and
Saturday, Oct. 3-4.
Both races will be qualifying events for the Fast Shafts All-Star
Invitational ballot, with $2,000 paid to win on opening night and
$3,000 paid to win on night two.
Friday’s feature pays a minimum of $200 to start. The Saturday show
pays a minimum of $300. Heat races, a fast dash and a main event are
on each evening’s program.
Pit gates open at 1 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 4 p.m. both
days. Drivers’ meetings are at 4:45 p.m. with hot laps at 5:30 p.m.
and racing to follow.
Transponders are required and will be available to rent for $20 a
day. Entry fee is $100 for one day or $150 for both days and includes
the driver’s pit pass.
Grandstand admission is $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $8 for
kids 6-12, with five and under admitted free. Family admission
packages (two adults and two children) are $40. Pit passes are $45
for one day or $75 for both days. Camping is available at the
speedway at no charge.
