Airborne $10,000-to-win Enduro Goes Today
South Plattsburgh, NY Airborne Speedway brings the curtain down on its season today at 4 p.m. with the Adirondack Water Systems Enduro 200, a 200-lap survival race for four-cylinder and six-cylinder cars that will pay $10,000 to the winner.
Entrants from New York, Quebec, all New England states and as far south as the Carolinas are expected to compete for one of the largest Enduro winners checks available east of the Mississippi this year.
Grandstand admission is only $2. All front gate proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish foundation. The main gate opens at 2 p.m.
To compete, cars must be signed over to the speedway. Safety features such as seats, harnesses and roll cage may be removed. There is no entry fee. Pit passes will cost $10.00. Cars must be registered no later than 2:45 p.m.
Airborne Speedway is located in South Plattsburgh, NY on Broderick Road just off Rte. 22, one mile south of I-87 exit 36.
