WOODHULL RACEWAY EXTENDS RACE SEASON TO OCTOBER 18, 2008.
(Woodhull, NY) After successfully completing the regular 2008 season as well as the originally scheduled post season specials events format, Woodhull Raceway owner, Vern Wasson has decided to extend the season one additional week.
“I told the drivers and fans a couple of weeks ago that if the attendance figures and car counts stayed healthy that I would extend the season one more week to October 18. I wanted to see how things went on Oct. 4 before making my decision and I was satisfied enough to keep the gates open one extra week.” That according to Wasson.
Plans for the October 18 event call for an abbreviated number of classes and an earlier than normal gate and start time to get fans and racers on the road home at a descent hour.
Classes that will compete will include the Woodhull Crate Sportsman/Open Sportsman Division, 360 Late Models, Open Street Stocks and Open Mini Stocks.
Gates for the October 18 show will open at 2:00 pm with racing at 4:00 pm.
Adult General Admission tickets will be $10 per person with Pit entry set at $25.
