Cayuga County Fair Speedway will once again come alive for Super DIRT Week XXXVII on Friday and Saturday October 10-11 with racing starting each night at 7:30pm. The Weedsport oval will host a complete cast of open wheel and full-fender machines across the two-day weekend.
The doubleheader will be kicked off on Friday evening with the Super DIRT Week Open Wheels at the ‘Port Championship for the ASCS Patriot Sprint Series. ASCS Patriot Region Director, Mike Emhof, is expecting between 40-50 winged warriors to come through the gate for the region championship on Friday night of DIRT Week.
Joining the Sprints on the card will be the 6th and final Championship round of the Parts Plus Big 6 Series for DIRTcar Street Stocks, the ESDCA Mod Lites, and the season long Championship for the Cayuga County BattleKarz division.
Saturday will see the Pullen’s Truck Center ‘Win & You’re In Twins’ for the DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds. The overall winner of the Twin 25 main events will earn the final guaranteed starting spot in the Rite Aid 200 Championship at the New York State Fairgrounds.
New for 2008 will be a $400 bonus provided to the guaranteed starter by SUNY Canton. All the guaranteed pilot has to do is display SUNY Canton logos on his car for the Rite Aid 200, becoming the SUNY Canton Modified for the annual fall classic.
Also on tap Saturday night will be the full-fender aces of the BRP CanAm Late Model Series. The ISKY Cams Chase at Super DIRT Week will be a $2,500 pay day for the eventual winner during race #13 of their 14 race schedule.
Tickets for the Weedsport doubleheader will be made available at the gate at two different rates. Friday night adults will be admitted for $20, seniors $18, kids 10-14 are $5 and children 9 and under are FREE. Saturday will see adult admission set at $25, seniors $20, kids 10-14 are $5 while children 9 and under are FREE.
