Arcade International Raceway to debut in 2009.
The hills of Delevan, NY will again be alive with the sound of stock car racing in 2009 and beyond thanks to the hard work and efforts of Carl Drum along with some hard working friends. Arcade International Raceway is the new name, and weekly Friday Night stock car racing is the plan featuring [tentatively] Crate Late Models, E-Mods, Street Stocks and some Four-Cylinder classes. Plus, some special shows are being hammered out that could bring the super late models, sprint cars, demo derby / enduro’s, and more to Arcade International Raceway for special events.
There will be an informational meeting held on November 1st at the Belfast Valley Park at 1:00 PM for any drivers, race car owners, potential investors or sponsors interested in hearing more.
The original name for the track was Tri-County Raceway and ran for several years prior to being purchased by Dan Hoffmann. Freedom Raceway ran weekly stock car racing events for nearly 20 years under the ownership of Mr. Hoffmann, who was forced to close the track prior to the 2008 race season for a variety of reasons. Arcade International Raceway Salute’s Mr. Hoffmann for his 20+ years of devotion and passion in promoting short track racing and we hope to see him at every AIR event !
Larry Wooster, Co-Owner of Wooster MotorSports Media will handle the Marketing, Promotions, and Media Relations for the Arcade International Raceway.
As more information is made available it will be posted on the tracks website www.arcadeinternationalraceway.com .
