Sarver, PA (May 22, 2009) After a week of premature summer heat, this Memorial Day weekend’s Fab Four Racing program is sponsored by All State Career. In addition, all Fire, EMS and Police with proper ID/Badge will be admitted for $7 before 7 pm. After the horrible tragedy in April where three of Pittsburgh’s finest lost their lives, there will be two light bars awarded (one as a door prize, one in a raffle) courtesy of www.LightBarsForSale.com. All proceeds of the Light Bar Raffle will be donated to the Fallen Heroes Fund in Pittsburgh.

With his first victory of the year, Rod George took over the points lead last week in the Commercial Truck & Trailers DIRTcar Sprint Car division. This week, George (115 points) will have to start twelfth as he tries to retain the division points lead. Friedman’s Freshmarkets DIRTcar Late Models points leader Gregg Satterlee (113 points) and Advance Auto Parts DIRTcar Sportsman points leader Bob Lipinski (116 points) will be in the same predicament.

The tightest points race is in the Diehl Auto Group DIRTcar Modifieds where point leader Brian Swartzlander (106 points) holds a narrow margin over Back-to-Back Feature Winner Del Rougeux Jr. and Jeremiah Shingledecker (102 points each). “Double Duty” Dave Murdick (93) and “Revin” Kevin Bolland (90) are both more than capable of winning on any given night are still within striking distance of the leaders.

Speaking of the Big Block Modifieds, the BRP Modified Tour rolls into Sarvertown next Friday May 29. BRP regulars Rex King Sr., Rex King Jr., Jeff Hoffman, Joe Crawford, Tommy Kristyak, Tommy Mattocks, Rick Hall, Jim Rasey and Gary Smoker could all join the field that night making for an explosive night of racing! Lernerville regulars Brian Swartzlander, Kevin Bolland, Del Rougeux Jr., Dave Murdick, Jeremiah Shingledecker, Mark Flick, Tom Winkle and Phil Evans Jr. will all be geared up to defend their home turf for the BRP Modified Tour event on Friday May 29!

With The Inaugural All Star 50, along with half of the World of Outlaws Late Model Series “Showdown at Sarvertown” in the books, there are several big races just around the corner. As mentioned above, the BRP Modified Tour is up next on Friday May 29 along with Fab Four Racing, followed by the O’Reilly All Star Sprint Cars will roll through town on Friday June 5.

Believe it or not, we’re only five weeks away from the best three days of Late Model racing of the year! The hybrid Showdown in Sarvertown/Firecracker 100 Weekend will commence on Thursday June 24, with the conclusion of $10,000-to-win “Showdown at Sarvertown”. Friday June 25 will feature time trials and the always exciting Firecracker 100 heat races, followed by a huge party in the parking lot featuring a rockin’ concert by NOMaD. The main event is on Saturday June 26; the $30,000-to-win 3rd Annual FIRECRACKER 100 presented by GottaRace.com and the $3000-to-win Uncle Sam 30. Firecracker 100 tickets are on sale now at Lernerville.com by clicking the “Buy Tickets Now!” icon.

With 271 teams registered for Lernerville Fab Four Fantasy Racing League, Wildmansracing, scored a perfect 5 out of 5 points this week! With the perfect lineup, Wildmanracing makes it a four way tie for the lead with Dobie25Fan, Mesta1l, and Murray racing with 7 points. The rest of the top five consisted of BullRinger's Studs, Dirt Stars and GoinRacing all with 6 points. If you did not get a chance to register this year, you can pre-register for next year at http://www.fantasydirtracing.com. They are also currently taking registrations for the Prelude to the Dream Fantasy Race, with proceeds being donated to Injured and Fallen Heroes.
