Just three weeks until the Wednesday night spectacular!
SUSSEX , NJ (May 28)……..”Promoting a major racing event is like putting toge the r a jigsaw puzzle,” says champion Modified race car driver Brett Hearn as he and his promotional team work towards the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Modified Series race meet, The Big Show, set for Wednesday, June 17 at the historic Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown , New York .
“Everything is coming toge the r, but as we get closer to the date, the pace quickens,” says Hearn. “We’ve already got a great lineup of drivers---many who haven’t followed the Advance Auto Parts Super DIRTcar Series---with more names being added every day. Our lap leader prize money is almost fully subscribed. And we’re starting to see fans taking advantage of the advance sale ticket bargains.”
The Big Show will be a one-division racing program for the big-block DIRTcar Modifieds and will include time trials, qualifying heat and consolation races, a B-main for non-qualified cars paying $2,000-to-win or 13th starting spot in the 100-lap feature race. The Big Show feature will pay the winner at least $6,000 and with lap prize money, considerably more.
In addition, Carl Edwards’ No. 99 Aflac NASCAR Sprint Cup Ford Fusion show car will be at the speedway as well as several souvenir trailers. A special motorized exhibition will take place in front of the grandstands prior to the feature race.
