A fantastic crowd turned out on Tuesday evening as the third day of the 3rd Annual IRCO Community Federal Credit Union sponsored Dirt Track Heroes event continued to hit stride with it's week long celebration of the past, present and future of auto racing. The CARQUEST Gasoline Alley Team conducted more than 50 interview with racers ranging in ages from five to seventy in their salute to the small car divisions of racing. Borgers Speedway, Hamlin Speedway, Accord Speedway, Old Dominion and Trailways Speedway drivers were well represented as were drivers from the Phoenixville, Blue Mountain, Lehigh Valley and West End Quarter Midget clubs. The stars of tomorrow were well represented and some quite animated with their interviews as many were giving their first ever interviews to the large racing crowd on hand for the festivities.

The show, which began on Sunday, is a week long celebration of the past, present and future stars of racing and will continue throughout the week with an outstanding array of driving talent and more than 120 race cars that have lined the Phillipsburg Mall walkways along with the many vendors who share a look at their vast collections of racing memorabilia that date back to the golden era of racing. The Mall will play host to a week long celebration that will run until March 13th at the Phillipsburg Mall, located on Route 22 East in Phillipsburg, New Jersey.

IRCO Community Federal Credit Union Vice President Greg Collins opened the show last night thanking everyone for their support of the show and thanking the drivers for their dedication and loyalty with their racing efforts. Bill Hanna from the newly formed Flemington Speedway Historical Society highlighted the early success of the fledgling organization and thanked everyone for their support as they continue to sign-up new members throughout the week. Hanna was quick to point out the Flemington day on Saturday has more than 40 drivers already signed on their salute to the Late Model division that competed at the famous "Square". Host Steve Pados thanked Orange County and Accord Announcer Joel Murns for taking time out of his work schedule to lend a hand with the nightly stage shows as the evening was Murn's final night at the event.

Headlining the show last evening were racing stars many with names the same as many of the great driving stars who thrilled us in the past as the generations of racing racing stars re-surface throughout the small car divisions.
