The rain was coming, and it was only a matter of time before we felt it. Knowing this we still headed out for the hour and a half drive to the track. Getting there the weather was still questionable and was the talk around the pits. Everyone could see the dark clouds approaching, but the show went on.
We got out for our hot laps and the track was in rough shape, for a Mod-lite anyways. Greasy at the bottom which I found out rather quick. This is normal for hot laps though. Can't expect a perfe
Howe again set the pace on the restart before Shawn Sliter took control along the backstretch.
With Sliter opening up a good lead on the field in his nephew's borrowed car – Paul Klager and Adam Leslie were both on their way to the front – with the two second and third before the half-way point.
Despite enjoying a good lead at the half-way point, Sliter would come up upon slower cars. By
Modern Corporation open wheel mod lites take to the track for a dash for cash, with Paul Klager and Jamie Gilbert leading the pack of 6 cars down to the green. Klager and Gilbert fight for the lead as the green is dropped. The battle continues as the yellow is waved with three to go. Klager and Gilbert come down to the green, Klager jumps into the lead, as Gilbert comes up to Klagers door side to challenge for the lead, when his machine gets away from him. However he is able to recover to grab s
Former champion Wally Billing led the field to start the Modern Corporation Open Wheel Lite Feature. The driver on the move though in the early stages was Jamie Gilbert. Starting back in the pack – Gilbert was in second by lap 4.
Gilbert took the lead on lap 5 with Josh Sliter and Adam Leslie following his charge to round out the early top 3.
Lap 8 saw Adam Leslie take over
It's hard to imagine that the start of the year we had to borrow a truck and trailer and 6 days to build cars and get to Ocala for the start of the season with a non-wing driver, a crew chief named who? With only a dream to get it done no matter what. That was 7 months ago and I can now add Knoxville nationals rookie to my resume.Sometimes we just have to take a step back and look at the big picture to realize how far we've come in such a short time. I have never had as much bad
I know,,, I know,,, Plazek has been a little tardy. Sorry boys and girls but I am trying to keep up to everything going on around me. Marc has been racing motocross here in Canada this summer and doing very well I may ad. Mike and Jeff are just getting into the sport as we have a practice track here on our land. In early June just after the Hall of Fame weekend Jeff broke his arm practicing. We made a few trips to the hospital and 8 weeks later he's back on the bike and lap times are returning t
There isn’t much to report from Friday night’s racing action as it was as good as the other two nights. Sammy Swindell and Lynton Jeffrey were to two big winners.
Swindell won the 20-lap non-qualifiers feature while Jeffrey captured the 20-lap World Challenge. Swindell earned $5,000 while Jeffrey won $10,000.
The A, B and C scrambles (12 laps) were won by Donny Schatz ($7,000), Skip Jackson ($5,000) and Ryan Anderson ($3,000) respectively. Not bad money for only 12 laps of work.
Back to the home track finally after a couple months of not being able to race there. It was a tour race and I finished 4th.
Sorry for not keeping up to date on this, just been busy lately. I have updated all races to date and will try to keep the rest of the season updated.
Pit entrance: -$50

August 3rd: +$155
July 19th: +$30
July 18th: +$25

The start of the 25 lap Stars North Mod Lite Event for the Modern Corporation Open Wheel Lites came to an immediate stop on lap 2 after Jordan Curran flipped his car on the front-stretch.
Curran walked away from the scene.
Paul Klager was back in control on the restart before Shawn Sliter took control.
Bob Bredin was first to lead the 20 lap Modern Corporation Open Wheel Lite Feature – setting the pace in the early going
One driver on the move was Shawn Sliter who had worked his way to the front quickly. Just as Sliter took control of top spot – caution would slow the field on lap 6.
With Sliter out front – another driver on the move was Pa
Former Champion Wally Billing set the initial pace at the start of the 20 lap Modern Corporation Open Wheel Lite Feature before Bob Bredin took control.
Jason Corless would take over top spot on lap 3 before caution would slow the Bolton driver on lap 6. With Corless out front once again – the new leader into turn 2 of lap 8 would be Jamie Gilbert.
With Gilbert out front comfortably – all eyes moved to the battle for the runner-
Well after a long night on Wednesday night in which racing got done at 3am and we got back to the hotel at 4am I didn’t get a chance to get my blog done before heading out again so this should take us up through the last two days of the Nationals.
It was great to be at the Knoxville Raceway again and you never know who you are going to meet when out here. We were walking around and up walked Dan Kaszubinski fresh off his win on Saturday night at Fulton Speedway. I was a little worried when
Well after a not so good qualifying attempt of 33rd/49 cars I was disapponted but the track was just too heavy for my engine to get around there faster. We took wing out, blew the rear tires up, tied front shocks down pretty much what ever we could figure out to free the rear tires and not lug the engine as much. I think I made the track too big letting the car drive where it wanted getting off the turn. Luckily, which u ask any driver they will say I'd rather be lucky than good any day, I start
Well it was another semi-hot day here in the great state of Iowa. It was another beautiful for racing though and there wasn’t any threat of rain.
We got to the track around 5:30pm and went in and got dinner. As you heard in Liz’s blog she had a nice ground beef sandwich (burger) called a Race Burger with Cheese. I enjoyed it but then again I’m the fat kid.
As far as the racing goes it was a great night. We had a three wide finish at the line for the win in the feature and a move by
What a night. No matter what happens when we come out here Mother Nature finds it necessary to rain on us at least once during the two days we are in Oskaloosa for the Front Row Challenge or the Ultimate Challenge.
Sorry this isn’t coming until about 5pm in the afternoon but we had a late night. Didn’t get back to the hotel until 3:30am.
Racing would have been done nice and early until a brief 15 minute shower put everything underwater and made everything a mucky, muddy mess.
Trip back to oskyAfter a 6:30 AM arrival in Indy from pevely got a little sleep and finished up the new car for a long overdue trip back to oskaloosa/ Knoxville. I've actually never ran a wing at osky it was quite a surprise how much faster we get around there. I haven't ran very many tracks this season that I can compare wing vs. Non-wing action.
We ended up qualifying around 30th of 45 cars, not happy but not disgusted with myself, there is nothing but top notch drivers here this week and I'

Kemenah picked up the win behind the whe
Well after last weekend anything better which is not hard, would of made me happy. For the first time of the season we had a beautiful clear sunny day to go racing. After a few weeks of organization between Merrittville Speedway, myself and the ,local regiment, we had put together a "Salute the Troops" night at the track. The tribute body was back on the car for the third time of the season and several troops showed up to the track in uniform. Both families from the two local fallen soldiers whe
Stateline Speedway was the site of battle number two for this "PJ Motorsports King of the Southern Tier" showdown with all of the stars of the Lucas Oil ASCS Patriots Sprint Car Series.

Well this may of been the most disappointing night of racing so far this year. Going to Merrittville with the new set up in and a couple changes, we felt confident in a good night of racing ahead. The race track was looking good, as usual and the weather was perfect.
Going out for hot laps, I felt out the car to make sure I could at least turn the thing with the new setup. It felt alright but could use some more side bite. So when I came in we talked it over and decided to make some minor chan
