Ill be at Thunder Road today! Bringing my 2.5 year old daughter to the races for the first time. She likes watching on TV so we’ll see how she does live!

An incredible streak added another year last night. Alan Johnson won a race for the 48th straight year with his victory at Land of Legends over a field of heavy hitters and 26 cars. Sheppard and Wight both ended up having flats that ended their night but I don’t think either were watching AJ. He was checked out.

Went off the grid and watched the Whelen Modified Tour 150 from Jennerstown. They had a Memorial Day remembrance for fallen service men. complete with a Black Hawk helicopter fly over. It was long but done very well. All the prelims for four of their regular classes were taken care of before in the afternoon including Modified Time trials. Mike Christopher Jr. in the Tommy Baldwin Jr. #7NY led Tyler Rypkema and J. B. Fortin to a "who are they" podium finish. Jennerstown is a quality facility with some great racing. I haven't been there since seeing an ASA race on the same weekend as Flemington's last dirt race. Thunder Road should do well with its Modified show Sunday. That's another track that should be on a lot of people's bucket lists. I once spent a very enjoyable Thursday night there back in the mid 1990's. It was probably the one place where Ken Squier, Dave Moody and Tom Curley could all get along.

I would expect that this post would come from Bob Miller. It seems like the type of story that would make him so giddy that he would be sending this out before Alan hit the first turn after the checkered flag.

Jennerstown is a get facility. Not a bad seat in the house. They are on an island by themselves being the only asphalt track in the area. Used to make it a point to make all of the ROC races they ran there years back. I’m guessing they have a real loyal fan base there to keep them in operation. I love Thunder Road also. It’s a shame its almost a 7 hour drive for me to there. Oxford Plains is another place I always enjoyed going to. Years back I used to make it a point to attend the Oxford Plains 250. It was a must see show.

That’s amazing considering the level of competition he has done it against year after year. Both are remarkable accomplishments.

I'm very surprised Jeremie left out an important topic that everybody is very concerned about. . .the lights in the parking lot from the 1964 World's Fair. If he can address this, the rest will fall into place.
