  1. People talk about cold weather being an issue running Oswego at night, but they run satellite shows at night. I mentioned in my original post about maybe having less satellite shows. That was just a thought. Personally if I was there for the week I would hit them all. If track owners can make $ off these shows 👍👍. Just seems like less interest in satellite shows by drivers, not the fans. I don't have the answers. Many of you have much more knowledge and time in than I do, so here's another question. I mentioned how it would be cool to have a different race at Oswego during the week at night.
  2. It's fun to talk about what could make SDW better.....but what are the chances that they will really look into making changes, most importantly doing Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night? I'm just a fan. Who has the pull to really have this looked at and considered?
  3. Thought would be fun to throw around ideas about changes to SDW and satellite shows. I had mentioned the WOO Late Models and tend to agree might be pricey to get them there and car counts might be low. So I will start off with an idea. Tuesday: Hurricane 100 and ESS and Sportsman. Hard to get rid of the hurricane Tradition This will be the only Satelite race Wednesday: Practice etc.. during day for 3 divisions Wednesday night Crate Late Models and IMCA Mods Not really sure about IMCA kids car counts but doesn't Fulton have crate LM? Remember the Go Nuclear LM? Make it a $1
  4. Does anyone think that it would be possible for Oswego to host the World of Outlaws Late Models during the week? Brought this up last year with 410 sprints but safety issues with them. I know biggest issue would be space. Seems like satellite shows are getting less interest? Late Models at Oswego would be pretty cool and I believe we'll received.
  5. I was baffled when I saw that the Hurricane 100 only had 24 358 mods. Didn't in past years they drew 40-60 cars? I was planning on trying to do Thursday -Sunday next year but why take Thursday off when the Hurricane 100 has become a race with normal weekly car counts?
  6. Due to family and work obligations going to Oswego Sunday will be a game day decision. Could someone tell me where to buy tickets the day of the show? Have always pre-ordered and picked up at will call. Thanks
  7. Back in I think 2012 the dirtcar 358 mods started running airborne as the headliner. Seeing 30 plus dirt mods go into turn 1 was one if the most violent things I have ever witnessed. Like nothing I will ever see again. When a wreck would occur the results were not pretty. They appeared to go so much faster than the mods on dirt at airborne. Boy did they go through a lot of tires. Crazy!
  8. Gotta love it. Besides Veterans "All my heroes come from dirt". Great to see them having a good time.
  9. The first time I watched I was wondering what Rocky was up to when he finished his interview. He appeared to be looking around to see if anyone was around. Then he hustles to the back of the big banner. All you can see is Rocky's feet. I'm thinking "is he taking a piss?" Then one of his buddies comes along for an attempted jump scare. Great run for Rocky. Great to see him having fun.
  10. No not yet. Intended but figured forum often gives a quicker reply.
  11. Have always bought my tickets for Fulton race day of race but noticed online that there is an option to purchase tix for $30 with pit pass included, which is same price as general admission. Maybe it's always been like that? If I choose that option do you print the tix or will call? Thanks!
  12. Race was awesome. The 111 must have ran 98/100 laps on the outside. CRAZY!
  13. No I don't. My uncle sent it to me. Such a great photo. Had the privilege of hanging win TC at airboune when he mopped the field up in a Super Modified. A group of us meandered over to he pits. Everyone had pretty much left. As we got ready to leave we see this guy just standing there by himself. It was TC himself. I asked him "what are you still doing here? "He said "waiting for my ride. " In the 20 minutes he waited for his ride he chatted with us, answered our questions, and even had a chuckle. It Is a racing memory I will never forget. RIP MS and TC.
  14. So I thought that I would be able to go Thursday and Saturday. My schedule changed and now definitely Saturday and work Friday until 4 so can hop in car and make 2 hour drive South. My question is what kind of car counts are going to be Friday night? Will most of the Malta regulars run in a 358 Friday? Sorry to be a pain but have a lot of wood to get in for winter and being a little selective on shows. I'm thinking by the previous Friday at Malta it will resemble a normal Friday night Malta, without big blocks. All advice always appreciated.
  15. Thanks for explanations. Did anyone see the guy get blasted by the water truck?😂😂😂😂. Sorry, that was just crazy. It appeared as though he didn't even attempt to get put of the way.
  16. Please don't think I'm complaining. Bad racing to me is better than no racing at all. I realize that all tracks have bad nights. The track conditions at Airborne when the SDS was in town ROUGH, but the majority of the year has been great. Still, even with the rough track, drivers were able to pass with more than one lane. I love Mohawk. In no way am I comparing or pitting tracks against each other that is Airborne or Mohawk. There are times I enjoy one over the other. True with any track. The September weekend is one of the racing season highlights for me. Saturday night SDS race at Mohawk

  18. Sorry if I missed this somewhere, but why did Brett miss both Brewerton and Mohawk SDS? I know he was at Malta Friday.
  19. Anyone know why Matt Williamson didn't show? Point leader. I'm going to beat Everton the punch and say he had a 100,000 reasons why he didn't have to show...but why no show if your in the points lead?
  20. Just the top row has reserved seats. They are marked with a red R. Airborne charges $50/seat for the season.
  21. The Dirtcar 358 series makes a stop at Airborne this Tuesday August 20th. Should be a good group of 358s and Sportsman Mods as a supporting division.
  22. PLATTSBURGH – Sometimes in racing you’re just in the right spot at the right time. That was the case Saturday night for François Bernier. “Franky Boy” was running in the third position when Mike Mahaney and Steve Bernier got together multiple times, resulting in mechanical issues for both machines. François would inherit the lead and never looked back. Chris Raabe was leading at the half-way point of the 30-lap Egglefield Ford feature event but a broken camshaft would end his night and setup the battle between Mahaney and Steve Bernier. The two ran several laps alongside one ano
