Jack Brady
Not a good debut for Brandon Sheppard with his new team on the WoO circuit. He failed to qualify through his heat or lcq. Sure, he'll get some type of guaranteed start for signing back up with for the season. Nick Hoffman ran away with his heat, as did Tim McCreadie. Jimmy Owens has a really sharp looking new car and sponsorship. Track seems to be very fast but still has at least 2 lines. The crate racing has been absolutely unbearable, so many stupid wrecks. The Leader in one race did a brake check in the restart zone, which actually caused another car to get flipped. And that was right after a large 5-6 car wreck. I thought Friesen said he was racing these shows. Was Matt Sheppard also supposed to be in Florida for the WoO Lates?

Sheppard lost his ride to Scott Bloomquist who also was a DNQ.
Jack Brady
Some how I missed Friesen's name on lineups. Ah well. These races make it so important to time trial good. Pretty messed up they did so much work to get Sheppard in the car and put Bloomquist instead. I understand the opportunity of having Scott in your car instead of Matt, but kind of a slap in Matt's face.

Jack Brady
If they did it while the crates were on, I barely paid attention after their first race. But I watched all the Super heats and lcq and feature. ugh.. watching to many screens at once.

Sheppard didn’t lose the ride. This show was never mentioned. He should be back in the late model again next month.

As printed in Lenny Sammons article, Sheppard originally didn’t rule out running both his mod and the late model at Volusia in February after a strong finish in his recent debut in Florida, but after recent talks with the late model team didn’t expect at this point it would happen.

I wonder, are team zero race cars/bloomquist chassis a thing of the past? No longer being built?

Maybe he’ll get one of those also and take them both apart and maybe put some of their ideas into his chassis.
jumper12a
Bloomquist out tonight, Chris Ferguson in.

There actually was a very good mix of both in the feature last night.

Mark Richards actually put the Big Frog deal together for him. Fergy is driving it tonight because Bloomer has nerve damage because of the motorcycle accident a few years back.

Josh Bayko
Oh, and I forgot to mention this earlier. In a truly odd twist to this Bloomer/Rocket/Fergy deal, Brian Shirley is actually racing one of Fergy’s old Bloomquist cars (Fergy is changing chassis now that Bloomer cars are no more) this week. My Race Pass does not work using my pc that I used all of last year. But it works on my phone. On the PC you click on live timing and Mrp just spins forever. The data does not load. leroy
Devin Moran 2 for 2 . McCreadie one lap short? Pretty cool to see Hoffman running well in the late model. The racing has been pretty good so far. 👍
Jack Brady
Drellos has been running really well also down there.

I’m not naive enough to think Pierce will, but there are a lot of interesting names on that driver roster that I’m imagining will whittle down to 12 over time. Many of the teams are just sucking up some of the benefits right now. If I read it right, it cost $2500 to sign on to the WoO contract . But the benefits must be worth it. I am thinking that at least a few contracted teams drop off Mid March. And more drop off Mid Summer. Time will tell
