Does anyone know if Selinsgrove Speedway has any sort of social media site?  A link? Or is it all still a work in progress?

Is anyone here planning on attending Saturday?

I'm watching weather and temps.  I hope to be there.

I am watching the forecast and social media posts as well.   The plan as of right now is to do a Williams Grove/Selinsgrove double.  But if for some reason Williams Grove  were to cancel/reschedule , I  would probably rethink that.  For the most part ,I try to do more than one event if traveling several hours.

It will be a Friday morning decision.

Should have made that an afternoon decision?
Left the house 1030.  I got the rained out text that they cancelled a little after 2pm. 3 plus hours in. And just 30 minutes from the track.   Oh well. It happens

Hoping  for some better luck this afternoon

I dress appropriately. More than what is probably needed.  So I am not cold . Super happy to be at the track for the first time this season . It is a good day👍

Except for some early cautions I thought it was a pretty decent race. No one was touching Maresca. I had Godown as the winner with Sheppard starting so far back. Anyone know what happen to Godown in the feature?

Looked like driveline or rear end. I was watching on flo so hard to tell.

Supercross was difficult to watch. Plessinger was so close.

Thought I would do something a little unique today, watching four different races on the tube. Selinsgrove, Lincoln and the two NASCAR debacles from Atlanta. Josh Williams became an instant hero at Atlanta but unfortunately, it'll cost him a whole bunch of $$$ in the long run. Of the four Lincoln was once again the best show. What the heck. It was an awesome turnout of cars and fans but honestly when this was scheduled it was the curtain call of a two-day deal. The only thing I might even a bad idea about is all the provisionals. I'm not a big fan of provisionals in the first place and this is one of the reasons why. Fortunately, it didn't come back and bite them in the end. Still a race I would have liked to see in person. The Deyo group got their first show in and while it was a fairly decent show about the only thing that probably wasn't sponsored by someone or something was the TP or maybe it was, and I missed it. Looking forward to Bridgeport next week. The two races at Atlanta I DVR'd as an afterthought and quite honestly that won't happen again. I could go into a whole tirade about those two races, but it would serve no useful purpose whatsoever so let's just say it was a lesson learned. Oh, and also, I learned a lot about a whole lot of stuff that I will never in a lifetime use, product wise, amazing! One has to see the whole Josh Williams thing to appreciate it. I have seen that whole scenario played out many a time at some of the short tracks I've visited over the years.

You should have made it five races and caught some of the IMSA race from Sebring. The end of that one was pure calamity.

I do not feel like the track surface was good yesterday at Selinsgrove. Which led to not the best race.

I gave some thought about going to Lincoln. But figured If I went there I would be staying over another night. I wanted to be home this morning. And I do not really enjoy the drive all night thing anymore.

It was good to escape winter, and see some racing.  Sure it was only 45 degrees. But it was sunny out. And Selinsgrove raced!!   I had a good time.  Decent crowd.  Got to shoot the bull with a few of the dog pound faithful.

Coming home ,last night I hit white out type snow. The big flake stuff with side ways wind. From about 10 miles south of Corning ,all the way into Geneva.  Looking outside now there is about an inch on the ground.  Temperature says 20 degrees.    Welcome back.

I'm not complaining, just stating my opinion. The track was garbage and Modifieds have a tendency to get surfaces like that if they aren't hard packed. We had 2 cars able to advance through the field yesterday - Sheppard and Payne. The others just kind of battled in 2 or 3 car groups all to themselves.

All told, I was happy to see our cars on the track less than 1,000 miles away. It means spring is near. Racing season here at home is just around the corner.

And WTF was up with the Sportsman? Bust your ass all winter to rebuild for the new season and shoot your racing budget rebuilding after the first event? Don't complain in June you don't have any money.

Payne was exciting to watch. He seemed to be running where no one else dared. He would gain three or four spots. And then lose just as many.   Then pass the same cars again.

Lincoln was great last night, it was good to see Rico beat Sweet. I don’t get to the track as much as I used to with family commitments and such, and I love the streaming services as much as anyone,  but there is nothing like being at the track. Especially for the first time each year.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to Lincoln, they’ve spruced the place up a bit.

I love AMA Supecross.

Just got done watching it. Bad for Plessinger. But his time will come.

I pull for the vets.

Did you happen to see Deegan and Jordon smith in the 1st 250 heat race?! I’ve never seen teammates go at it like that. Crazy.

Yes!   Not sure if there is more going on between those two that they are not telling?  Looked to me like Deegan set back at one point and waited on Smith looking to make contact.  Smith kind of self destructed after that though

I have really got to get to one of these events some day.  It is still on my wish list.

I have been to a few Pro AMA flat track events.  I also used to go to a lot of amateur motocross events when I was a kid.  My father used to race.   But I have never been to the AMA Supercross or the Pro Motocross

Smith had a hell of a comeback in the LCQ, just to get parked on the last corner coming to the finish.
Plessinger had that 450 race won and then made a bonehead move with a lap to go. Did feel bad for him though, but he should get one before the end of this year. Tomac has looked out to lunch the last few weeks (Daytona aside).

As far as Selinsgrove goes… people bitch all the time about wanting a tacky, fast track. I think 95% of drivers would disagree, and I’m sure 100% of the guys paying the bills would as well. Tacky tracks are murder on engines and drivetrain now, that’s just the way the cars have evolved. I’d bet they are more than happy to spend money on a good shock program than replacing destroyed components after a race like that.

There were for sure some freak accidents at Selinsgrove. I was really worried for the Matt Yoder that hit the wall head on while being upside down. In the Sportsman feature on that restart the 57 caught the 7m's left rear which sent him across the track and caused all that mayhem.

Stangle caused quite a crash too ruin Watson's day. Stuffed his nose under Bouc and sent Bouc right up into Watson hard, and that was just the first heat.

As for the track, they did get a lot of moisture last week, so I wasn't expecting the greatest of surfaces. I think they mentioned that its under new management this year? I was actually more worried about it getting rubbered up and end up having a train race. Which never happen, it's just when you put Maresca on the front row you know he is going to run like a mother. I also thought Payne put on a great show, he had some great passes. You definitely wanted to be on the top for the restarts.

Why doesn't Maresca run as much as he use to? The kid is a great driver with top equipment.

As for NASCAR the truck series is just a joke, they handle like crap and are basically all about momentum. And their aero package is the worst in NASCAR, a dirt modified is probably more aerodynamic. LOL

The xfinity is all pay to play, you just need enough money to purchase a ride, doesn't matter what experience you have. It's really just a much more expensive ARCA race to me. And as for Josh Williams, NASCAR is run by morons. There was no reason to send him to the garage.  It's about time a driver opposed them, it was a good way to protest NASCAR being stupid. But NASCAR loves to pick on small teams, so they look tough. And Hendricks (best cheaters on the planet), finally called out NASCAR and their parts distributer scam. Seems like the less fans NASCAR has in the stands the more parts teams have to buy directly through them. I bet they are paying more for parts now than they ever had to. And a lot of it is complete junk.

Seems he rather go fishing.  I don't know if he makes good money doing that or not.  Or just doesn't lose a whole lot doing it compared to racing.

Pauch however joked he wish Maresca would go back to fishing.  lol

I too wish he would run more NE Mods.

Smith did make a crazy run but I think you are asking for it going on the outside on the last corner of an LCQ for the last transfer spot. Not sure he had many options.

That’s one thing about Supercross that took me awhile to get used to - the deliberate blocking and cutting people off. I understand it’s accepted by those guys, but can you imagine some of those moves happening in a Mod or Sprint 😆?  Fists would be flying every night… 😆
