JAR1972
"Outside factor" being??? Godown? From Facebook: The Short Track Super Series has withdrawn from this weekend's event at Bridgeport Motorsports Park due to the current weather conditions and outside factors. We will be at Orange County Fair Speedway April 8. Thank you for your continued support.

robracer
Godown? Track conditions? Forecast
GrandStrunkRailroad
I saw this and everyone is speculating it’s bc of Godown. Supposedly, they are still holding the race, Deyo just pulled out.

NOS68
Just now, con7 said: This wasn’t meant to be a sarcastic response, it was an actual question. Why would Deyo pull a sanction just days away from a track because of a driver? Because a series can't allow a track to dictate who can win a championship, no different than when DIRT backed Sheppard and forced Wight to allow him to race. 1
BobMiller
So let's put this out there in every day language and not beat around the bush... What some of you are implying is that you think Deyo pulled out because the track wouldn't support him in not allowing Godown to race? Is that what I am getting out of all of this? If so, then I have a question. Why wouldn't Deyo want Godown to enter? What's the deal between Godown and Deyo?

As far as I know, Brett was trying to find a solution that allowed Ryan to race under the STSS banner this weekend.

But I think there is some sort of disagreement between the Bridgeport Speedway promoter and Godown. Started over a fight at a car show or something like that? That is what I have been able to piece meal together from several beating around the bush statements and posts over the last month. Maybe longer. Nobody has come right out and stated what the heck is actually going on. Not even Godown. He was interviewed in AARN aa while back. And if I remember right, said he was not racing Bridgeport due to personal issues? But not much else

I just can’t imagine watching a race without godown there… Responding to your feeble attempt at sarcasm: I watched him all last year on floracing, and any race without Godown is much less of a race. Just MHO.
racermurray
I might be wrong but I can't imagine Deyo canceling a whole field of modified guys who were planning to race , track workers and a bunch of spectators because of one guy ....doesn't compute .

I am with you on this one.^^^ But I just spectate. No race promoter. Maybe Brett was on the fence, and the forecast made his decision easier? Sunday can be tuff on some teams to travel that far . Maybe he called some of them?

Its not comparable to Matt vs Larry as they went after each other on track This is some back door NJ fight behind the scenes all acting like children Did you see Ryan’s video about taking his talents to NES? What a great haircut
Bob Krummel
So....... are the STSS drivers that don't run Bridgeport on a regular basis going to stay home in support of Deyo, or race on Sunday???

GrandStrunkRailroad
As stated by others above, the best I can gather is there was a fight at Motorsports Expo in January, between Godown and his son against a relation of Bridgeport promoter or owner. The fight seems to be the common knowledge part of the story, as it was witnessed by several others, the reasoning behind the fight is pure rumors bc I don’t know anyone with firsthand knowledge of the alleged actions that led to the fight. General consensus seems to be extramarital activities by one of the involved. Godown is not welcome at Bridgeport because of the altercation and Deyo pulled out because they wouldn’t allow a series driver to participate in a points event. Again, that’s the story I have been able to piece together, not sure if there’s anything untrue or missing.
