Any track can ban someone for whatever reason, it's happened many times, but if and I use that word loosely as I don't know the reasoning, only one guy knows that, a series cancels as one driver isn't allowed, next time the issue comes up and it's a regular you had best do the same thing, good for one good for another.

Pauch  Jr. was never banned from NES.  He chose to compete at Bridgport last year because NES owner Fred Valshing royally screwed him and his team in points and cost them the championship.  Valshing finally stepped away from pulling the strings at NES because he consistently stepped on his appendage with stupid decisions and some fairly obvious deals where it would have benefitted certain individuals.  Valshing still owns the place, but he has turned complete control over the weekly show to Ricky Grosso, who was the movivation behind the track when it was owned by the Grosso family.  He has done a ton to put the place back on the map with tons of improvements.  Both Pauch and Godown are heading back to NES.  Godown from the apparent  banning from Bridgeport and Pauch's reason is unknown, but I am sure that having Grosso back in control and Valshing out of the captains seat, has something to do with it.   The news of Pauch Jr. returning to NES is in this weeks AARN in an interview with Ricky Grosso.

So he wasn’t banned he just couldn’t win anything because track ownership didn’t allow it.

Sounds like they kicked him out without having the balls to say it.

What’s your definition of a ban?

I believe the Godown situation was a part of it, but only a part of it.  There are also questions about people willing to travel on Sunday, the rain on Friday and Saturday, and the fact that there are serious questions about the new surface.

Video from the practice last week was a sandstorm that would make the Southern Tier tracks proud.

On the contrary...the last season he competed at New Egypt (the year of the point deal) Pauch Jr won six features there...hardly not winning anything there.

I might be wrong but I can't imagine Deyo canceling a whole field of modified guys who were planning to race , track workers and a bunch of spectators because of one guy ....doesn't compute .

Something nearly happened like this about 40 years ago, but kind of in reverse order.  NASCAR North Tour operator had made sure popular driver Dave Dion was suspended from NASCAR due to a fight between one of Dion's crew members and another driver.(although years later Dion felt this was also partially revenge for Dion speaking out publicly about how Curley kept changing the rules during the season to benefit the cars that were running the newly introduced V-6 engines)  Although Dion could not normally run any NASCAR races(and he did also have a Cup car he ran on a part time basis too), he could still enter the NASCAR North races at Oxford Plains since those were also part of the "Oxford Open Series" with drivers without a NASCAR license or a NASCAR North legal car just not receiving NASCAR points.  Shortly before the Oxford 250 which at the time was a NASCAR North and Oxford Open sanctioned race, Curley called then Oxford track owner Bob Bahre and told him if Dion was allowed to run, Curley would tell the NASCAR North teams not to race the Oxford 250.  Bahre replied something along the lines of "Well, that will be easiest race Dion ever wins then and hung up." Nothing came of the threat after that and everyone showed up for the race.
