AFTON, NY – Business as usual continues at Afton Motorsports Park.
Ron Ford has come to terms with the Afton Fair Board to continue as the promoter of the three-tenths-mile clay oval for the 2022 season. Racing will continue on Friday nights headlined by the Modified division utilizing American Racer tires.
Ford, a resident of Afton, signed the agreement on Wednesday before Thanksgiving.
“We will be finalizing our divisions and getting our plans out as soon as possible,” offered Ford, a former racer who has promoted the speedway since 2017. “Thanks to all our racers and fans for being patient with us.”
Afton Motorsports Park will again be part of the American Racer Cup program during the upcoming ’22 season.
