BREWERTON, NY – The Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour series kicks off it’s first double header of 2021 this coming Friday and Saturday nights at the Brewerton and Fulton Speedways respectively.
These events were lost on the 2020 DMNT schedule due to Covid 19 and it will be a very different DMNT series that was in action for the 2019 events. One of the biggest changes has been the addition of our “Unlimited class” where the cars have no restrictions on engine, tires, fuel or fuel delivery. Some very powerful machines have been built for the class including point leader Mike Houghtaling with a 500 plus HP small block Ford and the 700 plus HP big block driven by Brewerton, NY’s own Joe August.
The other classes are the DMNT Modifieds, a 2 barrel division with a tight rules package and the Nostalgia division for older tube and oem framed cars. Houghtaling leads the points in the Modifieds as he runs two different cars and 2019 Nostalgia Champ Brad Litzenberger sits atop his division’s points standings.
With quite a variety of cars there should be something for everyone, from 80’s style Mud Bus cars to Coupes, Coaches and Gremlins. Entrants are expected from across NY State and Pennsylvania.
The green flag drops Friday night at Brewerton at 7:30 pm and Saturday night at 7pm at the Fulton Speedway
