Brian Comeau and Pete Stapper Claim Checkers In Earl Bilow Memorial


The Toledo Tornado, Brian Comeau captured his first feature win of the season with the Eastern Ontario Vintage Stock Car Club this past Saturday night.

Nathan Berry and Comeau brought the 20 car field to green with Berry holding the lead for the first circuit. Comeau would take the lead on lap two opening up a gap to the second place All Out Performance 14B. A late race caution would tighten the field for the final 3 laps with Berry bottom feeding along the tires but to no avail as Comeau would take the win. Paul Billings would claim the last spot on the podium for the second week in a row with Ryan Comeau and Steve Billings rounding out the fast five.

For the second week in a row Peter Stapper would claim the top honours in the 50’s, 60’’s class, crossing the line in 10th.

Pit notes…Denzil Billings Jr. A DNS for the feature with mechanical issues…Berry, Brock Cullen and Stapper claimed heat wins…the 50’s, 60’s entry of Darrell Wilson would claim the Hard Charger award gaining 4 spots in the feature…the Club returns to Caprara’s Can Am Motorsports Park this coming Saturday.
