Janczuk & Power Receive KOD Major Awards

WEST HAVEN, VTโ€“ Recently King Of Dirt Racing announced their annual KOD Honors award recipients led by the highest honors available with the Award Of Excellence earned by Brockville Ontario Speedway regular Jessica Powersand Driver Of The Year earned by Utica Rome Speedway regular Matt Janczuk. In total more than 20 drivers were honored by series officials.

Kingston, Ontario Canada racer Jessica Power received the highest honor awarded by KOD yearly with the Award Of Excellence. The award takes note of a drivers off track contributions to community and fan interaction, along with how they promote positivity and growth of dirt track racing. Power joins Elmo & Chris Reckner (2019), Bobby Varin (2018), Allison Ricci (2017), Adam Pierson (2016), Jason Casey (2016), Cody Bleau (2015), and Robbie Speed (2015) in an elite club of previous AOE recipients.

Oneida, NY Sportsman Modified racer Matt Janczuk joins another elite list of award winners at KOD after being honored as Driver Of The Year. Janczuk put up a perfect season for the series with 12 wins during a career year at Utica Rome Speedway in 2022. He will surely be a contender to repeat as โ€˜kingโ€™ in 2023. Janczuk joins Justin Comes (2020), Bobby Hackel IV (2019), Connor Cleveland (2018 & 2016), Rocky Warner (2017 & 2015), Robbie Speed (2016), and Nick Stone (2015) as DOTY award recipients.

Hall Of Honors is where KOD immortalizes names of those who support the series by encouraging itโ€™s continued success and growth, while also competing. Each year 1-2 drivers are put in the hall, along with one contributor. The 2022 Hall Of Honors Class includes drivers Tim Hartman Jr. from Albany-Saratoga Speedway, Chad Edwards from Fonda Speedway, and Bill McGaffin from Race Pro Weekly.

The trio joins Rob Hazer (2019), Brev Hayes (2019), Bobby Varin (2018), Mike Walton (2018), Marc Johnson (2017), Rob Yetman (2017), Allison Ricci (2017), Lyle DeVore (2017), Connor Cleveland (2016), Robbie Speed (2016), Adam Pierson (2016), Jason Casey (2016), Rocky Warner (2015), Nick Stone (2015), and Cody Bleau (2015) as HOH members.

KOD Honors officially closes the book on the 2022 Racing Season. King Of Dirt Racing is full steam ahead into 2023 with another year of quality programs for drivers, by drivers. Rules, registration, and W9 forms for 2023 are posted on the website, with registration now open until June 1, 2023.

King Of Dirt Racing is heading into its 8th year of operation servicing drivers in the Northeast. While the format may have shifted from traveling to weekly, itโ€™s still very much real and viable. Anyone looking to get involved with the series as a marketing partner or product sponsor is welcome to contact KOD directly via messenger, phone, or email.

Since 2015 King of Dirt Racing has worked with various tracks in New York State and Vermont to provide a quality home grown racing series experience. Operating through summer months from April to October, KOD has provided proven championship programs for divisions including Small Block Modifieds, Sportsman Modifieds, Pro Stocks, and Limited Sportsman.
