LAFARGEVILLE, NY – The all new Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour series hopes second times the charm this week as it returns to Caprara’s Can Am Motorsports Park this Saturday. Originally slated to run July 8th the first show fell to weather. This will also mark the first of three consecutive Saturday night shows with stops at Airborne Park Speedway in Plattsburg, NY July 29th and on August 5th the series invades Central NY at the Paradise Speedway located in Geneva, NY.
The all new DMNT will also see the debut of two brand new drivers with former Sportsman pilot Suzi Roy and Kart racer Megan Ciglich looking to run their first ever laps in Vintage Modified competition.
Courtesy of the Mohawk Valley Community College’s Airframe & Powerplant Technology and JC Satellite there will be a $225.00 purse paying the top three Nostalgia division cars $100.00, $75.00 and $50.00 respectively. The Modified winner will also receive $100.00 and there will be a $35.00 hard luck award.
Heat winners will receive $30.00 for their efforts from Number One Speed in Watertown, NY, the Hard Charger will get $25.00 from Predator Automotive out of Cardinal, On. There is also $160.00 in lap money up for grabs during the 15 lap feature go.
The green flag drops a 6 pm.
