LAFARGEVILLE, NY – The checkered flag fell on the 2021 American side of the Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour this past Saturday here at the Can Am Speedway.

Jack Miller of Schoharie, NY is still batting 1000 with the series capturing his second feature win in as many tries, his previous victory coming at the Fulton Speedway earlier this season. However, Unlimited Champion Mike Houghtaling looked to be well on his way to his fifth win of the season, jumping out early in the 15 lap affair and on occasion would gap the red Mustang. With 2 to go Miller would look to the outside of Houghtaling and power by out of turn two down the backstretch. Houghtaling would charge back to the rear bumper but Miller would pull away on the final lap to claim the win. Geroge Valenti of Kirkville, NY would complete the podium.

Meanwhile Merv Blackwell of Fort Ann, NY would take the Modified honors and Brad Litzenberger of Romulus, NY would cap his Championship season with win number five on the year.

Pit notes: The Modified Championship would also go to Houghtaling who had been running two cars for the majority of the season. However he would have to run his Unlimited entry to claim that Championship, opening the door for Bill Leonard, who would only have to take the green for Championship honors. The 11x was not present at Can Am however so Mike was able to be our first double class Champ…Scott Gauthier DNS engine issues, Tom Church DNS power steering…Litzenberger successfully defends 2019 Championship, no points in 2020…Can Am announcer Jeff Barrett doing a great job for us last night…The 2021 DMNT season is now complete, we thank all of our drivers and fans, the promoters and the tracks for having us.
