4WIDE Check In – Eric Mack – DTD Exclusive

Crew Chief of Stewart Friesen’s Halmar International  No. 44 Eric Mack checks in after the team’s latest win Tuesday at Orange County Fair Speedway in the Short Track Super Series’ Hard Clay Open.

Eric Mack :

” First of all I don’t really like the label of crew chief, I am just another helping hand with  some more responsibilities. We have a great crew, we aren’t the biggest team but we are a good team, with a great group of guys.  Tommy is in the shop working on the cars all the time while I am at DKM , I can really only come down at night.

On Tuesday at “The Hard Clay Open” we tried a few things in the heat race, and it worked out well , but Stew has been on point.  Lately he has been on the top of his game, he doesn’t miss a mark, but his success comes from his hard work, determination and heart.  He is always putting in 100%, of course other drivers and teams do too, but he leaves no stone unturned in trying to get better and its driving our whole team.”

When Eric is not crewing on the car he is a partner at DKM Fabrication.  DKM is a movement and a 100% in-house race car company that is disrupting the way race cars are designed and built. Erick Dave and Kyle leverage their advanced engineering knowledge and use state-of-the-art technology to design the fastest race cars available on dirt.  Our background stems from a deep technical understanding of dirt oval racing and a meticulous obsession with quality.”
