Makin’ Tracks – Fulton 33rd Lap Nightmare and More – DTD Exclusive

By BILL FOLEY

Two weeks ago Todd Root saw his chance for a small-block victory escape on the 33rd lap as Tim Sears Jr. got past.

On Saturday night at Fulton “33” was on the board again as Jeff McGinnis appeared to be headed to his first ever win at the Route 57 track. However, another Sears, Tom Jr., roared past and McGinnis had to settle for second.

For McGinnis is was almost a Hollywood ending as the week before he was out in the heats when the rear end along with the imput shaft to the transmission broke and he loaded up and prepared for the three hour trip home.
