OSWEGO, NY-One Super DIRTcar Series Modified Platinum driver was missing from the Quebec stop at Autodrome Drummond on Monday night as Ronnie Davis III was home in Memphis, N.Y.
Has he elected to drop off the 2023 Super DIRTcar Series Tour?
On Sunday night at Weedsport Speedway, Davis was in competition with his Small Block which he runs weekly at the Brewerton Speedway.
Afterwards, he told Dirt Track Digest, “I won’t be going to Quebec as our engine, which we sent to freshen up, isn’t back yet. We need another week.”
When asked if he was dropping off the tour he said, “I haven’t talked to Dean (Reynolds) yet, but I am going to. We still want to continue running. We haven’t had a good year this year and maybe this can give us a chance to regroup.”
In the past drivers have been excused from the tour when situations beyond their control had an impact on their attendance.
