CORNWALL, ONT – The series of big events continues this Sunday at Cornwall Motor Speedway with the second round of the Draper Doors Canadian Nationals Modified Series with a 100-lap event along with the lone presence of the Soleno Pro-Stock Series and a complete race program on West Front Construction night.
After a successful first round back in May with 32 cars in attendance, the Draper Doors Canadian Nationals comes back to life this Sunday with a 100-lap feature race, Steve Bernard will want to defend his first victory over local runners that will include Carey Terrance, Chris Raabe, Brian McDonald, Corey Wheeler, J-F Corriveau and Mario Clair, the invaders should include David Hebert, Steve Bernier, Yan Bussière, Bobby Herrington, Jordan McCreadie, Michael Parent and many others.
After the Mohawk Race Parts and Ultimate Series, it is now the Soleno Pro-Stock Series that will be in the spotlight for 2018 with a 50-lap event that will include the best Ontario and Quebec full fender runners. CD Beauchamp came on top during the initial round presented at Granby in May. Beauchamp will be one of the favourites along with Jocelyn Roy, Rock Aubin, Marc Lalonde and other locals. Do not count out invaders such as Bruno Cyr, Dany Voghel, Stephane Lemire and several others. A count well over 20 cars is expected.
The Next Level Home Improvement Sportsman with 25 laps and Tracy Wheeler Assist2Sell Mini-Stock with 15 laps will also be on hand.
The pit gate will open at 3pm access price at 40$; general admission will be opening at 4:30pm with entry prices set at 30$ for adults, 20$ for seniors 65 years and plus and kids 16 years and under can enter for 2$. Time trials will start at 6pm with heat races are scheduled to start at 6:30pm.
