CORNWALL, ONT – One of the biggest show of the year is on tap for this coming Sunday evening as the Super DIRTcar Big-Block Series will be in town for their annual stop along with the Next Level Home Improvement Sportsman and Tracy Wheeler Assist2Sell Mini-Stock on Les Entreprises ICM night.
Cornwall Motor Speedway will be stop #4 on the Super DIRTcar Series Tour for 2018, two drivers visited the winner’s circle so far, Stewart Friesen with 2 wins and defending Series champion Matt Sheppard with the other victory. Cornwall will also be the first halt in Canadian soil and there will be no better way to celebrate Canada Day with the O’Canada 100!
Friesen should be in the lineup of the stars and cars of the series that will also include Sheppard, current point’s leader Jimmy Phelps, Max McLaughlin, Erick Rudolph, Billy Decker, Danny Johnson, Pat Ward, Pete Britten, Tim Fuller, Brett Hearn, Tim Kerr, Alan Barker and several others.
Home turf will be defended by Carey Terrance, Chris Raabe, Brian McDonald, Joey Ladouceur, Tyler Givogue, Kyle Dingwall, Corey Wheeler, and Mario Clair. Some of our regulars such as Terrance, J-F Corriveau, and Louie Jackson Jr might have a big block powerplant under the hood for Sunday, we expect to see a few drivers from the Quebec province making the haul such as Drummondville promoter Yan Bussière, Steve Bernard, David Hébert, Michael Parent and a host of others. It will definitely be the toughest field of the season so far!
The Next Level Home Improvement Sportsman and Tracy Wheeler Assist2Sell Mini-Stock divisions will also be on the racing card with a regular event.
The pit gate will open at 2pm access price at 45$; general admission will be opening at 3:30pm with entry prices set at 35$ for adults, 20$ for seniors 65 years and plus and kids 16 years and under can enter for 5$.
