Lightning Sprints and Full Program this Coming Sunday at Cornwall Motor Speedway

CORNWALL, ONT –  It will be a busy night at Cornwall Motor Speedway as the Lightning Sprints are in town along with a full program sponsored by Pioneer Hi-Bred.

The Lightning Sprints will visit the speedway for the second time this season, they are scheduled to be back in July as well. Jordan Poirier showed his colors back on May 26 with a good run over Mathieu Bardier who tried really hard to pass the leader. Yanick Poirier completed the father-son duo by finishing in third. They will have a 25-lap feature race.

No driver is moving out of the pack in the Loud and Dirty Modified division, 3 different drivers visited the winner’s circle so far. Consistency has been key for Chris Raabe so far as he leads the points over Kyle Dingwall and last Sunday’s winner Mario Clair. A 30-lap feature is on the card in preparation for 2 huge events that are scheduled in the next few weeks.

Who will be able to beat Shane Pecore in the Next Level Home Improvement Sportsman division? Pecore has won all 3 races so far and seemed to be in full control of the division. Other drivers such as Ryan Stabler and Johnathon Ferguson have had great starts as well. A solid group of cars is expected again this Sunday for the 25-lap event.

It is the Alexandria Home Hardware Pro-Stock division veterans that are currently leading the way with Stephane Lebrun collecting 2 wins and Dave Bissonnette last Sunday. The battle will continue to be heated on the race track during their 25-lap affair.

Justin Jodoin found the right recipe in the Tracy Wheeler Assist2Sell Mini-Stock, winning the last 2 events and being dominant in both races, other divisions runners such as Yanick Potvin, Marc Dagenais, Alexis Charbonneau and others will be to watch in the 15-lap feature run.

The pit gates will open at 3pm to welcome the drivers, the admission cost will be $25. In general admission, doors will open at 5pm with a price of $15 for adults, $10 for senior 65 years plus and kids 16 years and under, it will cost $2 to access the grandstands. Heat races will start at 6:30pm.
