Sisters for a Cure fundraiser this Sunday at Cornwall Motor Speedway

CORNWALL, ONT – The Pro-Stock will have the spotlight this coming Sunday with the Sisters for a Cure 50 presented as a fundraiser event for Pro-Stock driver Dave Seguin’s daughters along with a full program in other divisions.

The Alexandria Home Hardware Pro-Stock will run a special event called the Sisters for a Cure 50, a 50-lap feature counting also towards the Weekend Warriors Series presented by JLB Heating and Cooling. Winner’s share will $1,000 along with several bonuses including $100 for hard charger, a pail of fuel for halfway bonus, $150 for top Quebec finisher, $150 for top American finisher and a free pro oil change as a hard luck bonus. Already several drivers for Quebec, Ontario and northern New-York showed in interest in supporting this event.

This event will also be a fundraiser for the Grace Science Foundation’s mission to cure NGLY1 deficiency that both daughters of Pro-Stock regular Dave Seguin have. A lot of funds were already collected, another competitor in the class, Eric Jean-Louis has committed to match all funds collected since the start of the event, and the speedway will also be a key donator against this fundraiser.

A full program for the Loud and Dirty Modifieds, Next Level Home Improvement Sportsman and Tracy Wheeler Assist2Sell Mini-Stock is on the agenda.

The pit gates will open at 3pm to welcome the drivers, the admission cost will be $25. In general admission, doors will open at 5pm with a price of $15 for adults, $10 for senior 65 years plus and kids 16 years and under, it will cost $2 to access the grandstands. Time trials are scheduled for 6pm and heat races will start at 6:30pm.
