Loren Lincoln, Chip Gauthier And Mike Houghtaling Claim DMNT Checkers At Paradise Speedway

GENEVA, NY – The Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour made it’s annual visit to the Paradise Speedway this past Saturday night.

Newcomer Loren Lincoln would wheel the Jim Hilimire owned 111 to victory lane in the 20 lap Nostalgia feature, he would be followed by his car owner with Bob Johnson placing third in the Brad Litzenberger 88.

In the 25 lap Modified feature which included a pair of Unlimited class cars, Mike Houghtaling was able to meet the requirements of starting tail and winning the race to pick up his third Unlimited feature of the season.

However, in the early going it was Scott Gauthier and Greg Hixson in the one and two spots with Houghtaling in tow after he quickly moved into third. Several laps later there would be contact between Hixson and Gauthier, Hixson was sent to the rear and Gauthier retired to the pits.

This would give Houghtaling a clear race track and he would sail to victory. Chip Gauthier would find himself in the Modified winner’s circle despite not having the best car on this night. He was followed by Brad Litzenberger who had his best finish in the Modified class with Hixson making his way back through the field for third.

The DMNT returns to action next Friday as the Canadian cars get their turn at Autodrome Granby.
