PORT COLBORNE, ON – The Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour series makes its first ever appearance this coming Saturday night at the Humberstone Speedway as part of the All Canadian weekend.
This will be the first of three scheduled events in Canada for the Tour with additional dates at the Southern Ontario Motor Speedway on August 14th and then back to Humberstone on August 22nd.
For some of the driver’s around the Southern Ontario area this will be their first action in just over a year as there was no vintage style racing at any of the area tracks in 2020. The one exception being Hamilton, Ontario’s Mark Shadwell who travelled east a few times, including the DMNT’s Autodrome Granby appearance.
Hannah Ferrell of Scotland, On will be turning her first laps with a vintage style car, she has many laps in a crate Sprint including a feature win at the Ohsweken Speedway in years past.
In addition to Shadwell, Andy Imbeault of Niagara Falls, Ontario and Rick St Pierre from Welland, On, Jeff Larmet from Thorold, On and Brockville Ontario native Matt Barbour should be strong contenders.
Dresden Ontario’s Bill Profota will turn his first racing laps with his new car and looks to set his sights on Kingston, Ontario’s Tim Hegarty. Both gentlemen with very different cars since they last ran together at Land Of Legends Raceway back in 2018. Both had older Nostalgia era cars, they now run with more modern chassis giving them both quite a bit more speed.
The green flag will drop at 7 pm this Saturday for the DMNT’s visit to Humberstone.
