Dirt Mod Nostalgia Tour Returns to Thunder Mountain

CENTER LISLE, NY – After more than a month off the American side of the Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour returns to Thunder Mountain here this Saturday night.
This will be the fourth consecutive season the DMNT Series has competed at Thunder Mountain going back to 2019.
They will be led by current points leader Joe August Jr. who will be looking for win number two after capturing his first ever feature win in the series May 21st at Paradise Speedway.
But the competition should be tough with John West of Constantia, NY looking for revenge from the previous Paradise show where he had to settle for the runner up spot but was pressuring the big block powered 17G throughout the race.
Wild Bill Leonard of McGraw, NY however may have quite a bit to say about this one, Bill is local to the track having raced there in many different divisions and knows his way around. Look for him to be a strong contender.
Also returning will be the Hammer, Mike Houghtaling who was both Modified class and Unlimited class Champ last year. He will be piloting the high powered Ford owned by Bob Shmidt.
And for the first time in several years, finally a Canadian car will be crossing the border, Tim Hegarty of Kingston, Ontario will bring the Ovide Doiron tribute Vega to the Mountain for the first time ever.
Gates open at 4 pm with hot laps at 6 pm, racing to follow.
