Randy Gaudet Pockets $850 At The Nostalgia Nationals

BRIGHTON, ON – Randy Gaudet of North Augusta, On would take the lion’s share of the largest purse offered to date for nostalgia style/vintage cars here this past Saturday.

Jason Riddell of Cardinal, On would take command early and cross the line first. However he would fail post race inspection for the minimum weight requirement.

Gavin Riddell also of Cardinal would hold down second for most of the 20 lap affair before making contact with Greg Hale, sending Riddell to the rear on the restart and Hale pit side.

In what would prove to be the battle for the win, Trenton, On native Brandon Gregory would hold the second place position but with three to go both Gaudet and Matt Barbour of Brockville, On would slip by.

Another restart for a second Gavin Riddell spin would see Gaudet hold on for what would be the win with Barbour nipping Gregory at the line for third. Kingston, Ontario’s Ian Gordon would round out the fast five.

The Nostalgia Nationals were made possible by Greenshield Pest Control of Kingston, On and Profota’s Farm Equipment of Chatham, On.

The DMNT returns to action this coming Saturday at the Fulton Speedway.
