SUSQUEHANNA, PA – Honesdale, PA native Duane Hiller captured his first win of the season with the Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour here Friday night.
Starting pole by virtue of his heat win, Hiller would grab the lead early but would soon feel the heat from Mike Houghtaling of Christiansburg, VA. The pair would battle for most of the 20 lap feature go.
After a late race restart Houghtaling would clip an implement tire ending his night.
Hiller would then fend off a last lap challenge by Dan Colvin of Wilton, NY to claim the checkers. Colvin would finish second with Marty Bunker of Hallstead, PA completing the podium.
With the Afton event scheduled for May 20th falling to rain, the series resumes June 3rd at Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY.
