ULMS Super Late Models Return to Freedom Motorsports Park on Friday August 18

DELEVAN, NY- The excitement, speed and thunder of the ULMS Murphy’s Logging Super Late Models make their final visit of the year to Freedom Motorsports Park on Friday August 18. The 30 lap $2500 to win event is brought to you by Sahlens. Joining the Super Late Models will be the NY6A Micro Sprints, the Pure Stocks in a special $500 to win event and the Danny Heineman & Sons Mini Stocks. The green flag drops at 7:30 pm on Friday August 18.

Bring your appetite on Friday as it will be buy one hot dog, get one free, brought to you by Sahlens, the official hot dog of Freedom Motorsports Park. The current record is 14.053, set by Max Blair during the first ULMS visit back in July. The track record fell five times during time trials in July as the new clay surface has been fast and smooth. Can someone break into the 13 second bracket on August 18?

The ULMS Murphy’s Logging Super Late Models at Freedom will feature the best drivers from New York and Pennsylvania in action.

Leading the Pennsylvania charge will be Max Blair of Centerville. Max has captured the last two Super Late Model races at Freedom and sits third in points. Current ULMS point leader Dave Hess of Waterford has finished second to Blair in the last two Freedom races. Also expected to represent the Keystone State are David Scott of Garland, Bob Rohrer of Waterford, and Damian Bidwell of Eldred.

Representing New York will be Greg Oakes of Franklinville, who was third at the July race and sits second in the ULMS standings. Also, Brent Rhebergen of Clymer, Chris Hackett of Jamestown, Nathan Hill of East Otto, and Mike and Brady Wonderling of Wellsville will defend the Empire State.

Come out and experience the special “Thrill on the Hill” excitement that the ULMS Murphy’s Logging Super Late Models produce at the area’s fastest racetrack. Grandstands open at 6:00 pm and racing starts at 7:30 pm on Friday August 18. Adult admission for this special event is $17, seniors are $15, students (9-15) are $8 and kids under 8 are admitted free.
