New Date Set for Big Blocks at Genesee Speedway

BY PHIL VIGNERI III

BATAVIA, NY – The Genesee Speedway and supporting sponsors, Wraptile Graphics & Professional Drainage Systems, have decided that in order to make this year’s Big Block vs Small Block Modified special the great event that it has been in years past, it is necessary to postpone the event to a later date. The running of The Gladiator MMXX has been moved to Thursday, July 30th.

The annual “Gladiator” has become a fan favorite event at the speedway giving local race fans the opportunity to experience the mighty Big Block Modifieds once a year since 2018. By moving the date, the speedway is hopeful that New York State guidelines will allow fans to attend this great event in person. The speedway is also hopeful that this will allow Canadian drivers, who have greatly contributed to the driver roster in years past, to participate.

Genesee Speedway will resume its weekly racing events starting Thursday June 11th with no fans in attendance. The event will be available on pay-per-view for fans who want to enjoy the action from home. For more information, visit genesee-speedway.com.
