BATAVIA, NY –  The up-and-down nature of the 2020 season at the Genesee Speedway is thankfully trending upwards again for what is shaping up to be a welcomed return to racing.

This Saturday, August 8, the Genesee Speedway will resume racing after taking three weeks off. The program will feature each of the regular six divisions competing for points in 2020 with most running their sixth race of the season. To make the event extra-special, Saturday will be the “Gene Dewitt Memorial”, the annual tribute to one of the legends of the region’s racing spectrum.

At this time, Saturday’s event will be held without the benefit of spectators. Genesee Speedway management is still in the process of clearing the way for the return of fans this month to accomplish the mission of the race track. In lieu of live attendance, DirtTrackDigest.TV will return to broadcast the event. The broadcast will include high-definition video and live scoring sewn in for just $19.99.

Race time for Saturday Night’s event will be 6:00 for heat races, with the pit gates opening at 4:00 p.m. For more information visit www.Genesee-Speedway.com.
