Willix Glen Ridge Winner; McCreadie Track Champ

By LaGrange Media

FULTONVILLE, NY – Lance Willix came into the final points race of the season for the DIRTcar 358 Modifieds at the Glen Ridge Motorsports Park in the runner up position in points. He needed points leader Jordan McCreadie to have bad luck and to park himself in victory lane.

Willix won the 35-lap feature event in dominating fashion but in the end, it was not enough to overtake McCreadie for the points title.

Willix dominated the feature event to score the win over McCreadie, Brian Pessolano, C.J. Castelletti and Dale Gray. The win did allow the Theresa, New York driver to hold on to that second place position in the final point standings.

Cody Ochs won the Classic Muscle Parts DIRTcar Sportsman feature event. The race went down to the wire with Ochs battling Zach Buff and Andrew Buff all the way to the checkers. In the end Ochs picked up the win over Zach Buff, Andrew Buff, Brendan Gibbons and Ricky Quick. Andrew Buff was crowned track champion.

Luke Horning cemented his 6th Yurkewecz Auto Crushers DIRTcar Pro Stock Track Championship the best way that he could – by winning the feature event. In the process he also tied the record for most feature wins in a row at six (2014 – Nick Stone). Horning would be followed by Shawn Perez, Jr., Steve Cosselman, Dom Denue and Chuck McSpirit.

In other action Tim Deffer won the Limited Sportsman feature event while Jason Samrov won the regular and held over Street Stock events (May 7th). The Leatherstocking Credit Union DIRTcar Mini Stock feature events went to Damian Ward (Dual Cam) and Bruce Liddle (Single Cam) while the Northeast Paving and Sealcoat Slingshot events were won by A.J. Albreada (All-Stars) and Bodie Marks (Junior).

The Glen Ridge Motorsports Park is back in action this Sunday night, September 10th with all weekly divisions in action. The pit gates open at 3pm, front gates at 4pm with hot laps at 5:30 pm and racing at 6pm.
