Sandercock scores third season win
No. 57 Charlie Sandercock and No. 29 Phil Potts treated fans to side-by-side racing at its finest in the Vanderlaan Building Products Late Model 30-lap feature. For the final 10 laps the pair went back and forth in a clash for first that saw Sandercock seal his first-place fate on the 25th trip around leaving Potts to settle for second and No. 46 Brandon Mowat in third. No. 7 Adam Nayler and No. 5 Steve Baldwin tussled in a death match for fourth place. While Nayler put up a solid fight, Baldwin scored fourth and the No.7 machine earned fifth respectively.
Hennessy holds on to victory lane
No. 07 Curtis King looked like he was going to take his first Bainer’s OilGARD Anti Rust Canadian Modified win of the season as he waged a stellar duel with No. 32 Doug O’Blenis. But little did they know No. 87 Andrew Hennessy was making moves from his 11th starting position. Hennessy kept driving hard on the high-side and on the 18th time by stole the runner-up spot from O’Blenis and set his sights on King. A series of cautions worked in Hennessy’s favour and with 4 laps to go he stayed the course up high and took the lead. Hennessy sailed to victory lane with King in second, No. 12 Adam Whaley in third, O’Blenis fourth, No. 48 Derek Greig.
Ramsay makes it rain checkers
At the drop of the green flag, No. 14 Chris Dorland took off from his pole position where he waged a thrilling three-way battle with No. 48 Adam Wells and No. 03 Justin Ramsay in the 20-lap Brighton Automotive Thunderstock feature. On a re-start Wells veered hard to the left on turn 1 closing the door on Dorland and Ramsay to steal the lead. Wells appeared to be well on his way to his first checkered flag of the season but as he soared around turn 4, he had to pump the brakes and push lapped traffic out of the way. Ramsay took the top spot from the high-side and sailed to victory lane with Wells in second, Dorland in third, No. Tyler French in fourth and No. 85 Austin Reid fifth.
Bailey brings home a win
No. 44 Tommy Bailey was quick to take the lead in the Bill John’s Comp 4/Mini-Stock 20-lap Lava Clean Triple Crown. Bailey jumped on the lead and checked out scoring his first victory of the season leaving No. 13 Joel Dempster, No. 43 Devon Kippen, No. 4 Chris Tufford and No. 52 Doug Galt to wage a vicious battle to the finish. Dempster took home runner-up, Kippen third, Tufford fourth and Gale fifth.
No. 14m Matthew Moore scored his third mini-stock feature of the season with No. 25 Lawrence Evenden capturing second and No. 7 Anthony Rinaldi in third.
Checkers fly for Easton and Collar
It only took No. 76 Brian Collar three laps to secure the top position and he never gave it up in the Quinte Septic Junior Stingers 12-lap feature. He drove clean and green with No. 25 Steve Darling earning runner-up, No. 37 Terry Blight third, No. 18 Carter Rhodes fourth and No. 72 Austin South.
No. 51 Patrick Easton was calm, cool and collected as he drove from his 10th starting position to the top spot on lap-7 of the 12-lap Quinte Septic Senior Stinger main event.
