Emotional Erb Wins Gateway Dirt Nationals

ST LOUIS, MO – Tyler Erb started in the fifth position and came home victorious on Saturday night’s 40 lap Super Late Model feature at the Dome in St. Louis.

Erb was able to take advantage of a yellow flag with just 5 laps remaining and moved low on leader Will Herrington into turn 1 as the field came back to green.  As they powered down the backstretch Erb was able to secure the top spot and cruised to a $30,000 victory.

Tanner English finished in the runner up spot with Ricky Thornton Jr, Tyler Carpenter and Mike Spatola completing the top five.

In victory lane Erb announced that his father had passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday.  The thoughts and prayers of everyone here at DirtTrackDigest.com are with Tyler and his family at this time.
