WOODHULL, NY-After an earlier season washout, the NYPENN IMCA Modifieds will make a return to the high banks of the Woodhull Raceway in addition to a Regular Great 8 Show with the night being sponsored by Chris Daugherty and his staff of Big Jim’s Wicked Tee’s as well as Siemens Energy with a location in nearby Painted Post, NY.
Woodhull Raceway owners, Terry and Niki Brewer will provide 50 Back Packs that will go out a school- students who register when they enter the facility. A drawing during the program finds the Backpacks distributed to a host of luck youngsters.
“There are a lot of families that are in tough financial situations making it difficult for them to provide adequate school supplies for their kids. We do a Back-to-School Backpack Give Away at the track every year in hopes that it will help some of these kids out.” That according to the Brewer’s.
Registration for the Backpack drawing will be at the Seeley Racing Junior Fan Booth just inside the main entrance way with age groups to be posted prior to the event on Facebook and at the track before the August 26 event which will mark one of the late season point paying shows of 2023 with the finale scheduled to go off on September 9, 2023.
On the card for the night of action will be a Regular Great 8 Show in addition to the Woodhull Raceway’s Race of Champions Event which will see all the feature winners in their respective classes go toe to toe in this unique event.
Criteria for the Race of Champions will be posted on Facebook prior to the August 26 show.
Chris Daugherty of Big Jim’s Wicked Tee’s has been a huge supporter of racing at the Woodhull Raceway ever since the promotional team of Terry and Niki Brewer took ownership of the facility in the spring of 2020.
Names in memory of his late father Jim, Wicked Tee’s is this region’s largest supplier of screen-printed shirts, hats and other apparel and collectables as well at graphic design work, wraps for every application, trophies, plaques and more.

Through Wicked Tee’s, Chris Daugherty sponsors a trio of classes at Woodhull including the Mini Stock, Front Wheel Drive and Youth Warrior Divisions.
Joining Wicked Tee’s will be Siemens Energy who also co-sponsors the Woodhull Raceway Victory Lane along with Pepsi.
Siemens is a global corporation with local offices and factories in Painted Post, NY just outside of Corning.
Siemens Employees that show accompany issued badge will be allowed entry into Woodhull on the night of the August 26 event with a $4.00 discount off the regular nightly gate price.
Pit gates for the night open at their traditional 3:30 pm time with main grandstand turnstiles swinging one hour later at 4:30 pm.
Adult General Admission Ticket Prices are economically set at $14.00 per and Woodhull offers an Early Bird Special offering $1.00 off the Adult price for the first hour.
Seniors (+62) and kids (8-12) with a paying adult also receive discounts.
